The following is the list of events that have been accomplished through your donation.


Buy study materials and stationery
for the children who live in temporary housings





  • While we are in support of the education of the children who live in the temporary housings, there are many who are not able to afford study materials and stationery goods. We are also planning to host English classes which will require more items as well.

Send Easter and Christmas presents
to the children
in Minamisanriku



  • Celebrating Easter (April 8th) and Christmas (Dec.25th) this year (2012), we would like to send presents to the children in the nursery schools and kindergartens of Minamisanriku Town in Tohoku.

  • The necessary funds were provided on December 16th, 2016 and will be used for the presents to the children in Minamisanrku. Thank you for your support!

Provide furnishing goods and interior
decoration for the Children's House


  • As Sola is now planning to build the Children’s House in Shizugawa, we would like to ask for financial support in order to purchase furnishing goods and interior decoration for the facility.

  • In October 2012, we were officially notified that the location where we planned to build the Children’s House was going to be leveled for another restoration purpose. Although this was an unfortunate news for Sola, we have already started searching for a new prospective location to construct the house and will keep the donation until an appropriate place has been provided. We will keep you posted on future updates regarding this project. Thank you.

Invite children in Ishinomaki City
to Yamaha Resort Tour


  • From November 23rd to 25th in 2012, Committee of ANRC12 will invite the children from the stricken areas to TSUMAGOI Yamaha Resort in Shizuoka prefecture. There are 30 attendees in total (including the family of the children) and Sola will be in charge of the kids’ program. In regards to this activity, we would like to ask for the donation of the transportation expenses for the 10 children in Ishinomaki City.

Buy a nameplate for the newly opened
“Sansa-Café” in Minamisanriku


  • Sansa-Café just newly opened in Shizugawa District of Minamisanriku Town, but they are still low on funds to run the business. To support their business, you can buy a brick plate with your name imprinted for ¥10,000 which will be displayed at the wall of the café.

Send 10 children
to a camp in Okinawa


  • In early fall of 2012, we would like to invite the children in Tohoku to a 3 day camp in Okinawa. It will cost ¥ 60,000 per child and will require 10 children in minimum to make this event happen.

  • The camp has been postponed due to the arrival of the typhoon. We are currently reorganizing the tour program and are also looking into other possibilities of the location.
